The region

The countryside

Our charming hotel prides itself on a long hotel tradition and is centrally situated, close to the old Roman settlements at the southern edges of the “Eifel”, at the foot of the “Ardennes”, and in midst of the German-Luxembourg national park, close to little “Luxembourg Switzerland “. You will be able to take delight in:
- the extraordinary variety of the scenic hilly country-side of the German-Luxembourg national park.
- a myriad of rare species and a remarkable fauna and flora.
- a temperate, genial climate
- a river meanding its course through a sandstone plateau with steep rocky cliffs and dark, mysterious gorges all testifying to a nature pulsating with vitality
- a generous offer as to leisure activities, recovery, relaxation and hospitality.

Our guests may wish to enliven their stay with a day-trip to the old Roman settlement Trier, the abbatial towns of Echternach and Clervaux , a visit to the medieval casles of Vianden or Beaufort, a boat trip on the Moselle River, or paddling down the Our or Sauer rivers in a rented canoe , to mention only some of a myriad possibilities.
